Instructors

Instructors are responsible for teaching a fun, high-quality climbing class for all ages and levels.

Job:

• Teach classes with the guidance of our curriculum
• Communicate with parents, co-workers, and participants.
• Abide in and teach gym safety and etiquette
• Additional duties may be added as needed.
• Support SCC’s efforts to be an environmentally friendly business.

Job Requirements:

  • Six months to 1 year of climbing experience or experience working with children
  • Must be 16 years of age or older. (14-16 year-olds may apply to be an assistant)
  • Effective communication skills 
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Current First Aid certification is required within the first 30 days of hire.
  • Be able to work some weekdays from 4-6 and or weekends.
  • Bring a positive attitude to work every day
  • Safe Sport Certificate before working
  • CWI Certificate within three months

Pay:

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $20.06, based on experience and qualifications.

 

Front Desk

The front desk person represents the first point of contact with the clients and the face of the gym. They are the center of the gym, ensuring all aspects run smoothly and following SCC Policies.

Job:

• Open and Closing the gym
• Morning gym inspection
• Answer phones
• Check-in families and members
• Help keep the gym clean
• Responsible for monitoring and mitigating risk in the gym
• Is the go-to for all problems and emergencies
• Support SCC’s efforts to be an environmentally friendly business.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum six months to 1-year customer experience preferred
  • One year of climbing experience preferred
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Current First Aid certification is required within the first 30 days of hire.
  • Safe Sport Certificate before working
  • CWI Certificate within three months
  • Bring a positive attitude to work every day

Pay:
