Introducing Our New Training Team

Ages 9+ (younger ages accepted on a case-by-case basis)

Tryout or Coach Invitation Only

We’re excited to launch our new Training Team—built for youth climbers who are ready to take their skills to the next level. Whether your climber is already competing, thinking about it, or simply wants to train more seriously, this team offers a focused, supportive, and fun environment to grow.

What It’s All About

The Training Team emphasizes technique, strength, and progression, while still keeping practice fun and engaging. Athletes will train alongside peers who share their drive and dedication, with coaching to support their development.

Practice Schedule

  • 1.5-hour practices available Monday–Thursday

  • Tuesday & Wednesday practices start at 4:30 PM 

  • Monday & Thursday practices start at 4:00 PM
  • Athletes may choose to attend 1–3 practices per week

We ask climbers to commit to a regular weekly schedule through December and communicate with coaches if they’ll miss a practice.

Tryouts

Tryouts will be held in August. While we want athletes to take tryouts seriously, there’s no need to be nervous. This is simply a chance for coaches to assess commitment, readiness, and attitude—not skill level.

Competition Opportunities

Competition is optional but highly encouraged. We plan to participate in either the ASCL or USA Climbing series. Athletes who choose to compete should plan to attend at least three regular competitions and Regionals (four total comps).
